With January 2008, World Focus enters its 29th year of publication. Over the years it emerged as a major source of Indian perspectives on the rapidly changing global order. Since the present century is being considered as that of Asia, for some time to come we thought of focusing on India’s neighbourhood and extended neighbourhood. In the process we at the World Focus also wanted that the magazine should reflect the voice of the developing world too.

 

As a step this direction in the immediate future we are taking up some of the current developments which have a direct or indirect bearing on India’s National Security. Some of the issues we are contemplating include the developments in China, resurgence in South East Asia and Central Asia, Jehadi culture in general culture as the factor in National Security.
